Job Overview: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, processing invoices, and ensuring timely collections from customers. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, resolving billing discrepancies, and supporting cash flow management to contribute to the company’s financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and monitor incoming payments, including credit card payments, wire transfers, checks, etc.
- Ensure accuracy of billing, including generating invoices and applying payments to customer accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update customer payment records and communicate with customers regarding billing issues.
- Prepare and present regular AR aging reports to management.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and resolve billing issues.
- Assist in audits as needed and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP software and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
