Financial Reporting Specialist | Accounting Downtown | Days

Responsible for preparing monthly financial reports. This task includes researching, calculating, preparing and inputting journal entries into the Lawson Accounting System. Maintain various Excel worksheets for such items as contractual adjustments, prepaid expenses, journal entry backup, check spread, and employee benefits.

• Prepare clinic financial package and distribute as directed.
• Prepare and input recurring journal entries into the Lawson system as required.
• Report clinic variances and explain month-to-month variances by researching, reviewing, and interacting with other departments.
• Complete the monthly rollover process preparing statements for the next financial closing.
• Maintain Excel worksheets of prepaid expenses that balance with the general ledger.
• Reconcile the assigned bank accounts and balance sheets.
• Monitor outgoing expenses.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• 3 Years Accounting or Related Experience Required
• 1 year Healthcare environment preferred

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates preferred
• Training Demonstrated Relevant Experience Can Substitute For Degree Required
• College Courses Principles of Accounting or similar required
