**** THE ROLE
**** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Performs day-to-day general ledger accounting for multiple venues including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
* Provides financial support for event booking decisions
* Provides support with the preparation and review of month-end accounting close process
* Generates departmental and event income/expense reports
* Analyzes event-level profitability, including ticket sales, concessions, staffing and other revenue/expense streams
* Supports financial audit and internal control procedures
* Assists in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, prepares variance analysis
* Develops dashboards and performance reports for senior management
* Assists with event settlements
* Files monthly sales tax
* Other duties as assigned

* Thorough understanding of accounting principles and ability to handle all aspects of the accounting cycle
* Strong attention to detail and high accuracy rate is a must
* Strong customer service and able to interact in a professional manner with various functions and levels within the organization
* Must be able to work with minimal supervision and able to preserve confidentiality of all data
* Must be able to communicate with technical and non-technical users
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task
* Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in public accounting and/or finance
* Experience with Sage or similar accounting software (preferred)
* Experience with in the venue management industry (preferred)

* SKILLS AND ABILITIES

*** Must have advanced PC skills (MS Outlook, Excel, Word)
