We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience, be proficient with Quick Books and Microsoft Office applications, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with attorneys for settlement purposes. This role requires maintaining accurate ledgers, preparing and updating settlement statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date ledgers and cost ledgers.
- Prepare and update settlement statements in coordination with attorneys.
- Effectively communicate with attorneys regarding settlement purposes and financial details.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Utilize Quick Books for bookkeeping and financial record‑keeping.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and communication.
- Ensure all financial records are organized, accurate, and meet deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and client information.
- Multi‑task efficiently while maintaining a professional attitude and excellent customer service.
- Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
- Strong proficiency with Quick Books.
- Experience with cost ledgers and accounts payable/receivable.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys and team members.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and multi‑task effectively.

- Reliable and able to pass a drug screening and background check.
