Senior Accountant

Interim Senior Accountant (Healthcare / Multi-Entity)

Engagement Type: Interim / Project-Based (Not a Permanent Position)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for an interim project supporting accounting operations within a healthcare and/or multi-entity environment
. This role will play a hands‑on part in month‑end close, general ledger maintenance, and financial reconciliations while ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, adaptable, and comfortable stepping into an established team to provide immediate impact.

• Perform and support month‑end close activities
  , including preparation and review of journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across one or multiple legal entities
• Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations
  , investigating and resolving variances
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with financial reporting and schedules as needed
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address accounting issues and improve processes
• Support audit requests and documentation, if applicable
• Provide interim coverage and expertise during periods of transition, growth, or system optimization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Proven experience with:
• Journal entries
• Month‑end close
• Account reconciliations
• Experience in the healthcare industry and/or multi‑entity accounting environments
• Ability to quickly onboard, assess processes, and operate independently

• Experience with Sage Intacct (highly preferred)
• CPA or CPA‑eligible a plus
• Prior interim, consulting, or project‑based accounting experience
• This is an interim project role
