The Part-Time Accountant will provide financial support to the organization, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely payroll, and compliance with grant and audit requirements. This role requires proficiency in Quick Books and the ability to collaborate with the Executive Director, Board of Directors and external auditors.
Essential duties and responsibilitiesMaintain and manage monthly accounts receivable.
Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
Assist with grant audits and other financial reporting as needed.
Support the annual audit process, providing documentation and assistance to auditors.
Attend occasional in-office meetings with the Executive Director to review invoices and financial matters.
Proficiency in Quick Books.
Experience working with nonprofits, including grants and audits
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Proficient with Quick Books Familiarity with grant management, payroll processing, and audit support.
Experience collaborating with executive leadership and external auditors is a plus.
