Senior Accountant

Vaco is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a consulting engagement with a large organization in Jacksonville. This is a remote role but requires a consultant that is local to Jacksonville for onboarding.

Position Summary:

A growing insurance organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist in building and maintaining the accounting function for a newly launched product offering. The Senior Accountant will join a team of motivated accounting and insurance professionals to help build a scalable accounting process from the ground up.

• Utilize underwriting and accounting systems to bill premiums and follow up on outstanding premium collections
• Research policy and endorsement activity to support premium reconciliation
• Coordinate endorsement issuance to resolve premium discrepancies
• Produce, reconcile, and distribute monthly reporting packages (claims }// bordereau) for insurance carrier partners
• Reconcile premium trust accounts and resolve reconciling items
• Apply cash receipts
• Process disbursements and refunds as necessary
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries
• Perform monthly account reconciliations

• Bachelor's or Master's degree inെങ്കÉ  Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of industry and/or public accounting experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
