Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed, multi-state healthcare organization that is scaling rapidly through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions. This is a highly visible role for a hands‑on accounting leader who enjoys building scalable processes, driving strong controls, and partnering closely with executive leadership.

The Corporate Controller will own core accounting and compliance, help integrate acquisitions, and support leadership with timely, accurate financial reporting as the business expands.

• Lead the monthly close and core accounting operations across a multi‑entity environment (GL, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany, consolidations)
• Drive GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls in a fast‑paced, high‑growth setting
• Oversee key accounting areas including:
• General accounting
• Lease accounting
• Fixed assets
• Tax coordination and filings (with internal and external partners)
• Equity administration and related accounting support
• Partner with the CFO and finance leadership to align accounting priorities with strategic goals
• Collaborate closely with FP&A on budgeting support, forecasting cadence, and performance tracking
• Own acquisition accounting support, including purchase accounting and ensuring smooth post‑close integration from an accounting and reporting standpoint
• Lead audit readiness and execution, including annual audit coordination and support for external advisors
• Improve and standardize accounting workflows, tools, and systems to create scalable, repeatable processes
• Build, develop, and mentor a high‑performing accounting team

• Active CPA license
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a Controller role or similar senior accounting leadership position
• Experience supporting a private equity‑backed environment and leadership expectations
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and multi‑entity reporting
• Demonstrated experience in a multi‑site, multi‑state operating model

• Healthcare industry experience
• Prior experience in an acquisitive environment, including purchase accounting and integration support
• Track record of improving close timelines, controls, and process efficiency in a growing organization
