Project Accountant
tosupportprojectfinancialmanagementfromstart-upthroughclose-out,whilepartneringcloselywith
Project Managersandthe Financial Management Team .
- Maintain,analyze,andreconcilejobcostledgers,ensuringaccurateallocationofexpenses.
- Monitoractualcostsagainstoriginalestimatesandbaselinebudgetsandreportonjobcostvariances.
- Coordinatewithprojectmanagerstocreateprogressbillingsbasedonpercentage-of-completionrevenuerecognition.
- Reviewandprocesssubcontractorpayapplications
- Assistwithprocessingorreviewingprojectpayroll,ensuringaccuratejobcostingallocations,laborburdentracking,andcertifiedpayrollreporting(if applicable)
- Continuouslyseekprocessimprovementstorefinejobcostingprocessesandinternalcontrolstoimproveaccountingaccuracyandefficiencies.
- Assistwithmonthendcloseprocesses
- Supportinternalandexternalaudits
- Bachelor’sDegreein
Accounting,Financeorrelatedfield - 3–5+yearsofaccountingexperience,withatleast2yearsfocusedspecificallyonjobcostorprojectaccounting
- UnderstandingofWIPschedules,percentage-of-completion accounting,andchangeordermanagementstronglypreferred
- ProficiencywithenterpriseERPsystems(Sage Intacctpreferably)
- Exposuretoconstructionpayrollprocesses,wage allocations,ortime-tracking software(e.g.,MiterorintegratedERPpayrollmodules) isaplus
- Advancedexcelskills(pivottables,complex formulas,data modeling).
- Familiaritywithprojectmanagementintegratedsoftware(e.g.,Procore) isaplus.
