For Futures Financial, Planning, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services LLC is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst. The role focuses on aligning business processes with system capabilities, translating requirements into solutions, and ensuring smooth operation of user systems.
ResponsibilitiesWhat the role does:
- Define business processes and ensure system alignment.
- Translate business requirements into system definitions and solutions.
- Act as a strategic partner between user community and technical development staff, including offshore teams.
- Resolve system problems to maintain smooth customer processes.
- Document business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, and project status.
- Implement system alignment with business processes.
- Provide standard and customized applications to resolve business needs/issues.
- Identify business system requirements and related solutions across a complete business process.
- Develop new customizations with design, documentation, testing, and training.
- Conduct business process evaluations to gain deep technical knowledge of requirements.
- Write and maintain system documentation.
- Perform duties outside of normal work hours as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4–7 years of directly related experience.
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to assess business implications of technology in the current business environment.
- Working knowledge of standard features of multiple applications/modules to analyze and resolve customer issues.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to define parameters and lead teams.
- Research, present, and implement solutions across multiple applications and functions.
- Knowledge of data analysis and/or relational databases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of system integrations and supporting technologies.
- Apply industry best practices and policies as a seasoned professional.
- Troubleshoot complex problems and identify solutions within broad application and functional expertise.
- Conduct data analysis and summarize findings.
- Validate and/or create quality assurance test cases, conduct testing.
- Participate in business acceptance testing.
- No supervision of others.
- Works under general direction.
- Mentors less experienced analysts and monitors project status.
- Leverages expertise of other analysts and resources for complex custom applications.
- May lead an implementation team or a medium‑sized project.
Pay range: $75,375.00 – $. This range reflects cost of living, experience, and location as of posting.
