Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Site Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance and support field operations across multiple electrical construction projects in Jacksonville, Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction safety—preferably within the electrical trade—and a proven ability to ensure safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain job-site safety programs in accordance with company policies, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across active project locations.
- Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Risk Assessments, and Pre-Task Plans with project teams.
- Support project managers and field supervisors in identifying and mitigating safety risks.
- Deliver safety orientation, training sessions, toolbox talks, and refresher courses for crews.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including logs, reports, training records, permits, and inspection forms.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safety expectations and requirements are met.
- Assist with regulatory inspections and ensure timely compliance with any corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety through consistent communication, positive reinforcement, and leadership presence in the field.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a 30‑hour OSHA Construction Outreach Training course (OSHA 30) is required.
- At least five (5) years of safety experience in construction or a combination of construction and general industry.
- Electrical construction safety experience strongly preferred.
- Proven knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and electrical construction safety practices.
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certifications preferred.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to travel locally between job sites.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in the field, including exposure to outdoor environments, heights, confined spaces, and active construction areas.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
