We’re partnering with a commercial GC to recruit a Project Manager for commercial and sports & entertainment projects in Jacksonville.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on APM or Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with field teams, and keeping complex projects moving. You’ll lead delivery from award through closeout, balancing schedules, budgets, subcontractor performance, and client expectations in an environment where opening dates and project milestones carry real importance.

You’ll be a central point of contact for the project, connecting clients, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams. Working across preconstruction planning and project delivery, you’ll establish clear priorities, anticipate challenges, and ensure the team has the information and resources needed to maintain progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial sports and entertainment projects from award and preconstruction planning through construction, turnover, and final closeout.
• Develop and manage project schedules, tracking key milestones, procurement requirements, and subcontractor activities against delivery deadlines.
• Take ownership of project budgets, cost forecasting, and financial reporting, identifying potential overruns early and implementing corrective action.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and drawing updates to ensure field teams receive accurate information in time to maintain progress.
• Oversee change management, including scope review, pricing, documentation, and communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and owners, maintaining clear expectations around sequencing, access, logistics, and completion dates.
• Lead weekly progress meetings, document decisions, and follow through on outstanding actions.
• Work closely with field leadership to resolve construction challenges and support safe, high-quality delivery.
• Manage contracts, pay applications, and project documentation throughout the construction process.
• Maintain consistent client communication, providing clear updates on progress, costs, risks, and upcoming milestones.
• Drive punch-list completion, turnover, and closeout documentation to achieve a well-organised handover.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers, supporting their development and helping the wider team perform effectively.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial project management experience.
• A proven record of delivering projects with demanding schedules, multiple stakeholders, and high client expectations.
• Sports or entertainment project experience is preferred, although comparable commercial experience will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and field logistics.
• Confidence managing subcontractors and holding project teams accountable for agreed commitments.
• A proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving problems, and making informed decisions.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to remain composed when priorities shift or deadlines tighten.
