Commercial Flooring Project Manager

Vaco of High Spring is seekinga Commercial Flooring Project Manager to oversee projects from the initial bid and estimating process through installation, billing, and final closeout. This role is a direct hire in Jacksonville,FL, onsite daily, in office, with Mon-Fri normal day hours in a salaried role.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who understands the commercial flooring industry and can confidently manage multiple projects, customers, vendors, and field teams. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of both the project and the overall customer experience.

• Manage commercial flooring opportunities from bid request through project completion and closeout.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date bid board, including opportunities, statuses, and follow-up activity.
• Coordinate with the estimating team on project takeoffs and review estimates for accuracy and necessary adjustments.
• Perform field measurements when project plans are unavailable.
• Respond promptly to RFIs and other project-related requests.
• Prepare complete and competitive estimates by confirming scope, material pricing, labor requirements, and project details.
• Submit bids to clients and actively follow up on opportunities through award.
• Make revisions to estimates and proposals as project requirements change.
• Partner with manufacturer representatives and the sales team regarding product specifications, pricing, availability, and customer needs.
• Create and maintain project folders, documentation, and submittals.
• Order materials and coordinate purchasing to support installation schedules.
• Work closely with Field Managers and participate in project walkthroughs.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers throughout active projects.
• Prepare change orders and obtain required customer approvals.
• Invoice active projects monthly and prepare required closeout documentation.
• Develop strong relationships with existing customers and new accounts introduced by the sales team.
• Work toward an annual sales goal of $3 million.

• Proven project management experience specifically within commercial flooring.
• Residential or multifamily flooring experience alone will not meet this requirement.
• Proficiency with Measure Square takeoff software.
• Strong understanding of commercial flooring installation and project requirements.
• Knowledge of subfloor conditions and floor preparation, including:
• Self-leveling
• Moisture mitigation
• Ability to review plans, measurements, takeoffs, pricing, and project scopes for accuracy.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and active projects while maintaining attention to detail.
• Comfortable working closely with customers, sales representatives, manufacturers, estimators, and field teams.

• Experience working with a CRM system.
• Experience managing customer relationships and growing existing commercial accounts.
