Bid Coordinator

Johnson-Laux Construction is seeking a Bid/Estimating Coordinator to support our Estimating Department and help keep projects moving from invitation to bid day.

This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of estimating coordination experience with a commercial General Contractor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with technology and a collaborative team.

• Coordinate bid documentation: Verify completeness, track updates, and maintain organized electronic files.
• Manage bid solicitations: Distribute bid invitations, project documents, addenda, and deadlines to subcontractors.
• Coordinate subcontractor communication: Track proposals, confirm participation, and follow up on outstanding bids.
• Monitor bid coverage: Identify potential gaps and alert estimators before deadlines.
• Maintain bid schedules and software: Track bid dates, pre-bid meetings, and subcontractor databases.
• Build industry relationships and attend pre-bid site visits as needed.

• At least 1 year of estimating coordination experience with a commercial General Contractor

• Knowledge of construction trades and experience coordinating bids or proposals.
• Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, cloud-based document sharing, and estimating software.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
