Architect IV

Overview

CRB is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Architect IV to lead architectural design efforts for complex Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech projects. This individual will play a key leadership role in the planning and execution of GMP-compliant facilities, with a strong focus on cleanroom design
, personnel/material flows
, and adjacency planning
. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of regulatory and operational requirements in the life sciences sector.

• Lead architectural design for life sciences projects, including conceptual planning, schematic design, and construction documentation.
• Generate complex code analyses, life safety and egress plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules and specifications for large projects of advanced complexity with no oversight.
• Develop and coordinate cleanroom layouts
  , GMP spaces
  , and critical adjacencies to optimize personnel and material flows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process engineers, MEP, and construction professionals.
• Serve as the primary architectural liaison with clients, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to the development of architectural standards and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with International building codes,
  Florida building codes
  , GMP regulations
  , and industry standards
  .
• Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.

• Licensed Architect with the ability to get licensed in the state of Florida (required), plus NCARB certification.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 15+ years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years in Life Sciences, Pharma, or Biotech sectors.
• Proven experience with cleanroom design
  , GMP facilities
  , and regulated environments
  .
• Strong understanding of personnel/material flow
  , adjacency planning
  , and facility programming
  .
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead client meetings and internal design discussions.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.
• LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable design practices is a plus.
