Job DescriptionCRB is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Architect IV to lead architectural design efforts for complex Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech projects. This role focuses on GMP‑compliant facilities, cleanroom design, personnel/ material flows, and adjacency planning.
Responsibilities- Lead architectural design for life sciences projects, including conceptual planning, schematic design, and construction documentation.
- Generate complex code analyses, life safety and egress plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules and specifications for large projects of advanced complexity with no oversight.
- Develop and coordinate cleanroom layouts, GMP spaces, and critical adjacencies to optimize personnel and material flows.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process engineers, MEP, and construction professionals.
- Serve as the primary architectural liaison with clients, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to the development of architectural standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with International building codes, Florida building codes, GMP regulations, and industry standards.
- Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
- Licensed Architect (Florida) and NCARB certification (required).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 15+ years architectural experience, with at least 5 years in Life Sciences, Pharma, or Biotech sectors.
- Proven experience with cleanroom design, GMP facilities, and regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of personnel/material flow, adjacency planning, and facility programming.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.
- LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable design practices is a plus.
