University of Florida Jacksonville Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville (UFCOMJ) is pleased to announce a search for faculty for the newly-established Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The position aligns with the University of Florida’s vision to provide state‑of‑the‑art PM&R services throughout Northeast Florida. A 48‑bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit is currently being established at the UF Health Jacksonville North campus, and an opportunity exists to develop a robust outpatient PM&R service.

We seek board‑certified or board‑eligible physiatrists at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, with or without subspecialty training. The desired candidate should have a strong clinical focus, an interest in teaching, and a commitment to academic research. Opportunities for future leadership growth are available.

The selected candidate will report to Dr. Ramon Bautista, Professor and Chair of Neurology, and the Phyllis Sohn Endowed Chair in Neurosciences.

This is a full‑time position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three UF colleges—medicine, nursing, and pharmacy—located on the approximately 110‑acre UF Health Jacksonville campus. The college’s 16 clinical science departments house more than 400 faculty members and 300 residents and fellows. The college offers 32 accredited graduate medical education programs, and clinical rotations in all major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville.

UF physicians at this campus contribute to a regional academic health center, UF Health, that provides high‑quality patient care, clinical research, and education.
