Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a highly qualified board-eligible or board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our growing surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust clinical background, have experience in thoracic transplantation as well as subspecialty expertise in adult cardiac surgery, and share a commitment to academic and scholarly excellence. • Perform complex cardiac surgical procedures with a focus on patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Manage heart and lung failure using advanced surgical techniques and technologies, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), ventricular assist devices (VADs), and heart and lung transplantation.
• Drive innovation and excellence in clinical practice, staying abreast of the latest advancements in cardiovascular surgery.
• Engage in ongoing academic and scholarly activities, contributing to laboratory or clinical research projects.
• Mentor and educate surgical fellows and other healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and develop individualized treatment plans.
