Overview
The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida is seeking two 9‑month, tenure‑earning Assistant Professors of Electrical Engineering. Positions report to Dr. Alan Harris, Director of the School of Engineering.
Anticipated start date:
August 3, 2026.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses on a 2/2 teaching load.
Lead an externally funded, independent research program in the candidate’s field.
QualificationsPh.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement and evidence of teaching excellence.
Preferred:
Potential to establish an independently funded research program and collaborate across disciplines in areas including renewable energy, microgrids, controls and robotics, advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity, communications, and embedded systems.
