KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is part of the KIPP national network. In the 2026‑2027 school year the region will comprise four schools educating 3,000+ students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida:

  • KIPP Impact Academy
    :
    Kindergarten–8th grade
  • KIPP VOICE Academy
    :
    Kindergarten–8th grade
  • KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy
    :
    Kindergarten–8th grade
  • KIPP Bold City High School
    : 9th–12th grade

Teachers work Monday through Friday, may have occasional meetings or special school events outside these hours. Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school.

  • K‑8 Staff
    : 7:30 am – 4:30 pm K‑8 Students
    : 8:00 am – 3:30 pm,
    Wednesday K‑8 dismissal 1:30 pm

  • High School Staff
    : 6:45 am – 3:45 pm High School Students
    : 7:15 am – 2:30 pm,
    Wednesday High School dismissal 12:30 pm

Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. This does not include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.

Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks high school teachers for our 9th‑12th grade classrooms in the 2026‑2027 school year. While this is not a guarantee of placement, selected candidates in the pool may be invited to interview when openings arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for at least one subject area.
  • Create a positive classroom environment.
  • Implement curriculum and assess students.
  • Collaborate with team and build relationships with families.
  • Other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school leader.

KIPP Bold City’s vision is to be a high school built on student voice and choice. Bold City offers a variety of options for its students – honors classes, Advanced Placement for all, and career/technical education. Classes are chosen based on student and family interest. As the school grows we seek to add more career tracks and Dual Enrollment. We also offer a variety of extracurriculars and sports.
