In the school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating more than 3,000 students, kindergarten through twelfth grade in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida.

For the current school year, teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools work the following hours Monday through Friday and may have occasional meetings or special school events outside of these hours.
- K-8 Staff
: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students
: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 dismissal is at 1:30pm - High School Staff
: 6:45am - 3:45pm,
High School Students
: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School dismissal is at 12:30pm.
Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings.
Job DescriptionKIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a high school English teacher for the 2024-25 school year. Teachers will be responsible for at least one subject area and are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned.

Our current compensation and benefits structure is competitive and is commensurate with experience.
- Our current starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000

- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification
- Florida Reading Endorsement
- At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom
- Possesses a deep commitment to both racial and educational equity for all children
- Passing a background check, as required by law
Preferred Qualifications
- FLDOE Certified in English 6-12
- ESOL Endorsement
- Two or more years of secondary teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom
- Experience with teaching honors level or AP level courses in a high school
