Job PurposeAs a 4th Grade Teacher, you will develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines, build effective rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate learners to acquire essential skills and knowledge in accordance with each student’s ability.
How You Will Impact Education- Plans and implements a program of instruction that adheres to the company’s philosophy, goals, and objectives.
- Creates purposeful lesson plans maximizing teaching strategies and effective time on task.
- Delivers subject matter to students, offering real‑world, application‑based examples.
- Reviews student records to develop understanding of each student’s abilities and needs; maintains accurate records.
- Strives to maximize the educational achievement of each student.
- Uses a variety of learning modalities and differentiated instruction within lessons.
- Conducts diagnostic assessment of student learning frequently; maintains accurate records.
- Assesses strengths and weaknesses, tailors activities, and generates progress reports as required.
- Refers students with suspected learning problems to support personnel; corrects student work and reviews oral presentations.
- Co‑ordinates class field trips as required.
- Prepares students for state‑required assessments.
- Maintains current knowledge in subject matter and learning theory; shares knowledge for curriculum improvement.
- Assists in curriculum revision, selection of books, equipment, and instructional materials.
- Becomes acquainted with supplemental services beneficial to students.
- Creates an environment appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
- Maintains positive rapport; demonstrates patience and nurturing.
- Ensures the classroom is clean, safe, and displays student work.
- Develops reasonable rules for classroom/playground behavior, maintaining order fairly and consistently.
- Develops lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and goals.
- Plans individual and group learning activities to meet objectives and student needs.
- Prepares for classes assigned and provides evidence of preparation upon request.
- Partakes with staff in curriculum planning during scheduled meetings.
- Incorporates diagnostic information as required in IEPs.
- Takes appropriate precautions to protect supplies, equipment, and materials needed for instruction.
- Establishes cooperative relations and communicates with parents/guardians as necessary.
- Communicates consistently and positively with parents via appropriate mediums.
- Cooperates with administration, staff, and CSUSA.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding student records.
- Participates in parent communication activities.
- Participates in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture (as required).
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to the mission and values of CSUSA.
- Possesses strong time management and organizational skills.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, community, and administration.
- Shows sensitivity to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and public image.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Displays excellent communication skills—oral, written, and active listening.
- Remains consistently present, punctual, follows instructions, and seeks feedback for improvement.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS), and email.
- Searches for ways to improve, promote quality, and demonstrate accuracy.
- Strives to implement best practices and positive character education.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college/university or equivalent; possession of a valid teaching certification (as appropriate).
