Position Overview :
Afternoon Eagles Welcome Desk Assistant at Episcopal School of Jacksonville, St. Mark’s Campus. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This role greets families during afternoon pick‑up, manages the sign‑in/out process, and communicates with classroom staff via walkie‑talkie to have students sent to the gate. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment are required.
- Arrive on campus by 3:30 each day
- Greeting and assisting parents during dismissal
- Managing accurate sign‑in/sign‑out records
- Communicating with classrooms via walkie‑talkie
- Monitoring gate activity for safety and organization
- Verifying authorized pick‑ups
- Filling in classrooms with Afternoon Eagles staff and students when needed

- Support the school with words and actions, both on and off campus
- Confidentiality is required concerning school matters, students, and their families
- Assistants must remain sensitive to events, situations, or conditions regarding students, families, and coworkers; information given in confidence must remain confidential
- Specific questions about a child should ALWAYS be deferred to the Coordinator of Extended Day; communication with parents should be of a positive nature
