Base pay: $60.00/hr.

We are hiring a part‑time Kids Cooking Instructor to help cultivate culinary curiosity in children.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead hour‑long cooking enrichment classes for kids 3‑18 years old.
• Create and teach creative recipes, introducing new ingredients and healthy foods from around the world.
• Teach basic kitchen skills such as washing, cutting, measuring, and nutrition, along with cultural context.
• Prepare lesson plans, shop for fresh ingredients, and manage a group of 8‑14 children.
• Work on‑site at various locations and maintain a friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children across a range of ages.
• Availability at least 2 days a week, Monday‑Friday 1‑5 pm.
• Commitment to teaching full sessions (4‑12 weeks).
• Serv Safe Food Handler Certification (obtained before teaching).
• Ability to engage a diverse group of children.
• Background check required upon hire.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Punctual, reliable, and professional communication.
• No professional cooking experience required.
• Experience in a classroom setting is a plus.

Our instructors bring the kitchen to the kids with a cooking kit that contains all the necessary equipment. Sticky Fingers Cooking provides paid training and individualized support.
