Kindergarten Sixth Grade

The Soaring Eagle Academy teacher is an integral part of our school family. Our teachers perform all the necessary functions to ensure that our students are successful and have a wonderful experience that will impact their lives for many years to come. Our teachers are respected for their professionalism and expertise in the field of education. We are currently hiring educators for our elementary school in classes Kindergarten through sixth grade.

Our classrooms come equipped with smartboards, laptops, and tablets for all students. We use a research and faith-based curriculum for our students. Our campus has a school library, a large outdoor area for recess, class gardens, a cafeteria, and an auditorium.

• A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years experience (preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must pass a background check (local and federal)
• Able to work 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday
• Have knowledge and the skill to operate computers, classroom technology, and grading software
• The ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent record keeping skills
• Able to lift 60lbs
• Have strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Keep a neat and orderly classroom
• Able to assess students and create individualized instruction for students when necessary
• Able to work as a team on special projects

• Prepare and implement lesson plans weekly that meet learning objectives for state standards
• Assess students quarterly for progress
• Conduct parent meetings
• Establishing and enforcing rules of behavior for students in the classroom
• Establishing and communicating clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects
• Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students
• Encouraging students to explore learning opportunities
• Creating, assigning, and grading various assessments for students, including tests, quizzes, essays, and projects
• Working with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention
• Tracking and evaluating student academic progress
• Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, coworkers, and supervisors
• Managing student behavior
• Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicating regularly with parents and facilitating family engagement activities
• Helping students improve study methods and habits
• Administering tests to evaluate students’ progress
• Maintaining the student portfolio system
• Participate in all faculty meetings and trainings
