Freelance Education Content Writer – KS3 English

We’re looking for an experienced KS3 English teacher or English education content writer to support the development of high-quality curriculum and assessment content for our EdTech platforms.

You’ll work on individual projects creating engaging, accurate and appropriately challenging English resources for Key Stage 3 pupils.

This would suit a current or former secondary English teacher, subject specialist or experienced education writer looking for flexible freelance projects alongside other commitments.

Depending on the project, you may be asked to:

• Write curriculum-aligned KS3 English content
• Create assessment questions, answers and marking guidance
• Develop reading texts and accompanying comprehension questions
• Create resources covering reading, writing, grammar and language skills
• Develop questions across different levels of challenge
• Write scripts for educational English videos
• Review and validate existing English content
• Proofread and edit resources for accuracy, clarity and age appropriateness
• Check that content reflects relevant KS3 curriculum requirements
• Consider progression in English knowledge and skills across KS3
• Create a suitable variety of question types to assess pupils' understanding

Projects will be provided with a clear brief, requirements and agreed deadline.
