Description: Full time/ In office position
- Conduct investigations, site observations, review of submittals, complete and review analysis, and design calculations; execute and manage the preparation of drawings and specifications; assist with mentoring of junior staff; manage project budgets and schedules; interact with clients; and prepare technical reports.
- Responsible for analysis and design of structural elements for commercial, industrial and food processing facilities. Applications include foundations, mat slab, structural steel framing, tilt-up walls, precast concrete structures, concrete design, masonry walls, wood design and light-gauge metal framing. Preparation of contract documents, calculations, observations reports, and estimates.
- Working knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, FBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, as well as of AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, RISA 3D, Enercalc and Excel is preferred.
- Ability to interpret codes, insurance underwriter requirements and adherence to client specific standards
- Assist with proposal development, both scope and man hour estimating
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks while participating on varying project teams to provide multiple cost-effective solutions
- Masters in structural engineering from an ABET- accredited university with a minimum of 15 years' experience
- Professional engineer licensed in CA, IL, NY, and Washington is a plus
- Master's in structural engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a minimum of 15 years' experience

- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work on multiple tasks across project teams
