Job OverviewAt Jacobs, we partner across the globe to transform critical challenges into practical solutions. As a Data Center Estimating Professional on our Advanced Manufacturing team, you will play a key leadership role, shaping estimating strategies for data center projects and supporting a portfolio that includes industrial, chemical, pulp & paper, general manufacturing, electric vehicles, and pharmaceutical facilities.
Responsibilities- Lead and serve as a technical expert in estimating, primarily focusing on data centers.
- Develop and execute estimating strategies and plans that align with overall proposal objectives for project requirements.
- Collaborate with project team members to coordinate deliverables, provide guidance on project deliverables, and foster strong working relationships.
- Review and contribute to the interpretation of requests for proposals or project contracts, identify risk areas, and participate in mitigation planning.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced design and estimating personnel.
- Minimum of ten years progressive experience with increasing responsibility in an estimating role for industrial project execution or a project management role executing industrial projects in the field.
- Estimating and construction experience in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines within Data Centers.
- Experience with Cost-OS, Sage Estimating (Timberline), or similar estimating software platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of estimating organizational structure and process, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, contingency/risk, markup structures, and estimate documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related technical field.
- Professional experience within the markets of EV/Batteries or Specialty Chemicals.
- Proficiency in quantitative risk analysis using software such as @Risk and Monte Carlo.
- Experience with Aspen CCE or other parametric tools.
- Active membership in AACE, PMI, or a similar association.
