Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a premier Medical Device firm on the Southside of Jacksonville, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. Their business is growing exponentially and we are excited for another hiring opportunity!

We are seeking an experienced individual for medical device designs, creating solutions using various technologies.

• Envision and design effective applications of various optical technologies
• Perform self-directed program management functions to ensure product specifications are translated into deliverables in the design package;
• Bring new design experience into the company and cross-pollinate this with the existing design team;
• Create, manage and ensure that unique processes are developed correctly for accurate execution by production;
• Generate design verification test protocols and manage verification analysis;
• Design unique equipment necessary to implement new designs in production which are themselves validated processes;
• Interface with senior designers at medical OEM's / Design Partners to translate requirements into specifications;
• Possess practical experience in the operation of machinery in a manufacturing facility to build prototypes of one’s own designs;
• Ensure product designs meet all applicable standards and regulatory requirements, including deciding what requirements apply before the design begins and developing the technical output.

The position will be integral to daily Engineering operations and routinely interface with production, planning, inventory control, finance, quality control, quality assurance, machine shop, tooling department, and report to the Director of Engineering.

• Candidates should have a minimum of 5-years demonstrated success in the requirements listed above
• BS in Mechanical or related industrial-technical engineering disciplines including education Or degreed experience in Mechanical Engineering proficiency in design work using SOLIDWORKS as well as being creative and cost-conscious in their design approach.

This is local, Jacksonville opportunity... there is no relocation assistance. Also, there is no future H-1B sponsorship available either.
