Position Overview: Apellix is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled customer training specialist to join our customer success team. This role is ideal for high school, AP, or IB educators looking to transition into a technology‑focused career while leveraging their teaching and communication expertise. As part of our training team, you’ll help Apellix customers understand, operate, and get the most out of our aerial robotic systems.
You’ll train clients—ranging from industrial service providers to engineering contractors—on how to safely and effectively use Apellix drones for power washing and spray painting. This hands‑on role combines technical instruction, educational design, and real‑world field experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in‑person and virtual training sessions to Apellix customers, focusing on drone operations, safety, and maintenance.
- Maintain and update training materials, user guides, and learning modules (online LMS) for both technical and non‑technical users.
- Gain and maintain FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification (company reimbursed).
- Learn and demonstrate the operation of power wash and spray paint drone systems.
- Participate in remote field operations, assisting with power washing or coating demonstrations.
- Provide feedback to the product and engineering teams to improve the customer experience.
- Support continuous learning by staying current with FAA guidance, industrial safety standards, and Apellix product updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, science, engineering, or related field.
- Experience teaching high school or higher‑level courses (AP, IB, STEM preferred).
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Interest in technology, robotics, or industrial systems.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 5–20%).
- Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification within 60 days of hire.
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience developing curriculum or technical training programs.
- Familiarity with drones, robotics, or industrial coatings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Teams, LMS, and other virtual training tools.
- Mechanical aptitude or comfort working with tools and equipment.
- Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
