Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for all preconstruction activities on large volume water projects, including developing preliminary budgets, value engineering, preconstruction schedules, procurement plan, prequalification of subcontractors, detailed take-off and estimating, definition of bid package scopes, the subcontractor/supplier bidding process, evaluation of bids, presentation of detailed estimates of the work, evaluation of alternatives and comparative studies.
Job Responsibilities:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- At least 7 years of estimating experience, preferably in water/wastewater construction
Knowledge, Skills, Certifications:
- Experience in water & wastewater construction
- Estimating, scheduling, budgeting, field supervision, financial reporting skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience managing construction projects/phases and support staff
- Knowledge of bid practices, design-build & CMAR delivery methods

Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Must have ambulatory skills to visit locations, and the ability to stand, walk, lift 10-50 pounds, and operate equipment with good hand-eye coordination. Ability to sit, reach, talk, and hear frequently.
