Traffic Engineer

The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team in Jacksonville, FL!

This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the infrastructure team, you ll serve an integral role in the firm by preparing complete project documents, analysis, and reports; analyzing and interpreting data; performing analyses of design, planning, and impact studies; and perform quality control reviews. This position may also provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration and/or manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Have a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have your PE and be in good standing.
• Experienced in traffic operations and safety analysis, as well as document production.
• Proficient in production and traffic software experience including HCS, Synchro, SIDRA, and VISSIM.
• Have a passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
