What You’ll Do- Lead multiple scheduling projects as a project leader or project advisor within functional teams.
- Develop and maintain sustainable enterprise‑level scheduling processes and procedures.
- Create complex scheduling models and prepare & analyze master project/program schedules.
- Oversee a database or “warehouse” of scheduling data recorded and tracked from each job.
- Participate in client presentations as required.
- Coordinate with other project controls areas.
- Conduct labor projections to support department staff planning.
- Support department growth through business development and marketing efforts.
- Provide guidance and subject‑matter expert services in RFP development to aid pursuit development.
- Provide schedule support for claims analysis (e.g., contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts).
- Serve as subject‑matter expert in VE studies.
- Translate contract, construction, and project documents into schedules (scopes, milestones, phasing, sequencing).
- Lead planning alongside the Project Manager, collaborating on WBS, estimating durations, and sequencing work (hard & soft restraints).
- Maintain project schedules—including progress updates—and communicate status and key risk areas to project management.
- Perform schedule risk analysis, including quantitative risk analysis.
- Conduct schedule analysis on critical activities, risks, milestones, and significant changes, developing “what if” scenarios to mitigate delays.
- Prepare reporting from schedules, including EVA analysis and integration of cost and schedule.
- Perform contemporaneous schedule analysis.
- Review contractor schedule submittals (baseline and progress).
- Quality‑control all scheduling deliverables prepared by support staff.
- Support procurement documents related to scheduling specifications.
- Mentor Schedulers I, II, and III, and possibly serve as technical lead.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business and 9 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of education, 13 years of relevant experience.
- AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or equivalent.
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing project schedules using commercially available scheduling software.
- Experience in 2 or more phases of the project lifecycle (e.g., pre‑design, design, procurement, construction, post‑construction).
- Experience working as a client’s PM/CM agent or as part of a design‑build contractor (or equivalent).
- Experience with mega projects is preferred.
- Review and analysis of design‑phase project schedules.
- Review and analysis of highly complex construction‑phase project schedules.
- Review and analysis of project schedules for compliance with project documents.
- Interface with project teams to manage schedules for multiple projects during the project lifecycle.
- Advanced experience with Primavera P6 required.
- Claims experience (time impact analysis, windows analysis, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret highway plans, specifications, and related project documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
