Job Summary

The Associate Production Engineer is responsible for performing machine software preparation tasks to ensure timely and efficient production. This entry‑level role is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow in additive manufacturing. The Associate Production Engineer will own critical equipment, ensure it is well‑maintained, and support the Production Engineering team in tracing root cause of errors associated with current manufacturing procedures, implementing effective solutions under team guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Determine the priority of products sent from engineering to ensure time‑for‑surgery production.
  • Virtually orient and support 3D CAD files to reduce build failures, limit post‑processing time, and minimize part deformations.
  • Monitor builds for defects and document best practices where applicable.
  • Verify printed builds are mechanically stable by performing static tensile tests on printed specimens.
  • Develop an understanding of critical equipment to ensure process control and reduce impact of machine malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot critical equipment during machine malfunctions.
  • Perform lot changes on critical equipment.
  • Assist with complaint and CAPA root‑cause analysis by finding solutions to manufacturing issues.
  • Assist manufacturing engineering on general process improvements, new product development, and IPS engineering initiatives.
Qualifications Educational and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; mechanical and materials science engineering preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior experience with CAD/CAM software preferred.
  • Prior exposure to additive manufacturing preferred.
