Building Science Project Engineer - Early Career

Partner is seeking full-time Project Assessors to complete and finalize specific project tasks according to deadlines and within budget, completing Property Condition Assessments as assigned by the Project Manager.
Essential Duties & Tasks- Project research (historical, regulatory, etc.)
- Communication with client and subject site representatives
- Conducting site reconnaissance
- Data compilation and organization
- Report authoring
- Preparation of quality supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.)
- Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager associated with the report deliverable schedule and plan
- Complete specific project tasks as directed by the Project Manager
- Effectively communicate project progress and issues with the Project Manager
- Maintain communication with team members throughout the project
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule
- Provide solid recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and clients, while understanding the assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process
- Identify and resolve issues with projects
- Deliver appropriate progress reports (verbally or by e‑mail), and recommendations to the Project Manager and Client
- Coordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope
- Communicate report delivery instructions to the Project Coordinator
- Excellent internal and external communication skills
- Ability to work on projects concurrently
- Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
- Exceptional writing skills
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
- Understanding of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, and replacement costs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Corel, and Excel
- Strong observation, deduction, and reasoning skills
- Familiarity with the basic principles of civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering, including construction and maintenance of structures and systems; knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Housing Act
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in an engineering discipline
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in environmental or engineering consulting
- Projects involve a degree of travel. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation to and from project sites
- Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
- Requires the ability to climb a ladder
Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
