The Data Center Mechanical Commissioning Agent/Engineer leads and executes commissioning of data center critical systems including CRAHs, Chillers, Air Handlers, Coolers, and various other equipment. The role is responsible for reviewing client design packages, monitoring and analyzing FAT and First‑of‑Kind equipment Level 1‑5 tests, and developing O&M documentation to serve as a reference for data center equipment. The Commissioning Engineer is critical to the company’s success and growth by ensuring testing is executed and the client’s data centers operate at maximum efficiency.

• Manage projects, plans, specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects.
• Adhere to a thorough quality management/QC process and procedures.
• Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings, including equipment pre‑startup and startup procedures, development of SOPs and Methods of Procedures (MOPs), and comprehensive commissioning documentation.
• Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports; develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track projects.
• Write comprehensive reports with recommendations for optimization, functional checklists, deficiencies, and equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
• Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other commissioning documentation.
• Perform integrated system testing, load‑bank testing, and compile all testing procedure results.
• Develop and administer functional tests for various systems, such as electrical distribution, UPS, standby generators, etc.
• Prepare system assembly and commissioning plans; follow company QC process and procedures.
• Lead and manage external resources; schedule and direct periodic commissioning meetings; attend construction and coordination meetings if required.
• Interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and owners’ agents as needed; execute project assignments; interact with engineering and design teams.
• Verify results of test reports; assist with field troubleshooting of commissioned equipment.
• Field experience in operation and application of Power Quality Analyzers, Power Disturbance Analyzers, Data Loggers, and related testing equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% to job locations.
• Must be a US Citizen.

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Engineering or comparable experience.
• 10 years’ experience in the Engineering field.
• Experience working in complex facilities or mission‑critical projects is a big plus.
• Previous Data Center or Mission Critical experience is a must.
• Electrical equipment testing experience in a critical facilities environment.
• Experience with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures and protocols is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of systems design for various projects.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• No certificates or licenses required.

No supervisory responsibilities with this position.

• Occasionally must lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
