Our client, a leader in the technology and data management industry, is seeking a Senior DB2 z/OS Systems Programmer to join their team in Jacksonville, FL.

Senior DB2 z/OS Systems Programmer

Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

9+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems engineering activities related to DB2 z/OS environments.
• Provide technical support for DB2 z/OS systems, including performance tuning, disaster recovery, and data sharing.
• Assist in establishing input/output processes and hardware compatibility for complex subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of data center components.
• Serve as a proficient technical resource, influencing and guiding team activities on special initiatives and operational tasks.

• Minimum of 6‑8 years of experience in systems programming, specifically with DB2 z/OS environments.
• Proficiency with SMP/E, Db2 for z/OS V13, Data Sharing, Performance and Tuning, and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience with Db2 Data Replication, including IIDR (Q Replication, CDC, DPropR).
• Knowledge of Db2 Connect Universal Edition and distributed connection methods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
