Regal Cinemas Avenues 20 - Floor Staff (Jacksonville, FL) – $14.00 per hour + Free Movies

Join us as a Floor Staff member. The position includes roles in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Floor Staff members provide exceptional service and act as a representative of Regal.

Responsibilities
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Handling emergency situations when called upon.
  • General cleaning duties.
  • Compliance with company dress code.
Box Office Duties
  • Operate POS system and maintain accurate cash drawer.
  • Process credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, discounted tickets, passes, and coupons.
  • Upsell and suggest the Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets sold in accordance with MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and guest questions.
Concession Duties
  • Operate POS system and manage inventory.
  • Promote Regal Crown Club.
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession equipment.
  • Upsell and suggest complementary items.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Maintain required alcohol certification and training where applicable.
  • Read and understand training materials on sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher Duties
  • Tear tickets, collect stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in seat location.
  • Enforce MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality and prevent film theft.
  • Report problems or unusual situations to management.
  • Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
  • Clean auditoriums, restrooms, lobby, and hallways after shows.
  • Monitor cleanliness and operation of vending equipment.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and/or box office cashier, or progress toward completion.
  • Legal responsibility for alcohol sales/serving if applicable and completion of required training.
  • Good public speaking and listening skills.
  • Math ability: perform calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Reasoning ability: identify problems, gather data, evaluate information, and act under pressure.
  • Excellent communication with customers, co‑workers, and management; ability to set goals, budget time, and prioritize.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
