A well‑established organization in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the accounting function, strengthen financial operations, and serve as a key partner to leadership. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong teams, improving processes, and ensuring accuracy and integrity across all financial activities.

Over 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and a hands‑on approach are critical for success in this position.

• Oversee all day‑to‑day accounting operations, including GL management, month‑end close, and financial reporting
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with finance leadership
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
• Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors
• Support cash flow management, treasury activities, and banking relationships
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
• Partner with operations, HR, and other departments to support business decisions and provide financial insights

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience leading month‑end close and managing a full accounting function
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
• A hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach paired with the ability to think strategically
