Credit Analyst - Equipment & Structured Finance
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our Equipment and Structured Finance team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will support the credit transaction process by analyzing financial statements, preparing credit packages, and assisting in the evaluation of credit risk for new and existing clients. This role is designed for individuals with strong analytical skills and an interest in developing a career in commercial lending and equipment finance.
Transactions range in size from $1MM to $100MM and are equipment or collateral secured. Cape focuses on supporting PE sponsored and privately held businesses, with growth capital. This position will be located at our Jacksonville, FL office.
Key Responsibilities- Use existing tools to review and analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections.
- Assist in preparing credit memos for syndication to Fund Partners.
- Conduct industry, collateral, and guarantor due diligence to support credit decisions.
- Assist in evaluating collateral equipment, including new, used, and refurbished assets, in the context of loan structure and repayment ability.
- Maintain credit files and documentation in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Interact with Fund Partners to answer and source additional credit information that may be required from the borrower.
- 2 years of experience in banking or financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with financial models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Some prior internship or work experience in banking, finance, or accounting is a plus.
- Exposure to the fast-paced and growing equipment finance industry.
