About the Role
The Finance Officer will be responsible for monitoring investment results through the accurate and timely accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of all invested assets, ensuring compliance with investment policy statements, and supporting the organization’s financial stewardship goals. This role requires a collaborative and analytical professional with a strong background in investments, cash management, accounting and financial systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to partner with internal leaders and external advisors to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and alignment with the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile all investment accounts monthly, including pooled and custom-managed investment portfolios
- Manage cash flow processes across multiple bank accounts and investment pools to ensure proper liquidity and allocation
- Monitor investment results and prepare accurate and timely quarterly reporting for leadership and board committees
- Maintain compliance with investment policy statements and assist in developing best practices for investment oversight
- Collaborate with investment advisors and banking partners on transactions, documentation, and reporting
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience working with banking or investment advisors
- Knowledge of invested assets including alternatives preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
Required Skills
- Knowledge of accounting and financial systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook at an intermediate level - Excellent organizational and technical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to partner with internal leaders and external advisors
Pay and compensation package
- Excellent salary commensurate with your experience
- 15 days of PTO, 13 Paid Holidays, and 12 sick days per year
