Essential

Duties include:

  • Manage and resolve debit, credit card, & Bill Pay disputes and fraud cases, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and credit union policies. Conduct detailed investigations by gathering documentation, analyzing data, and preparing comprehensive case packets.
  • Monitor and analyze card activity and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential risks. Regularly review CAMS alerts and take prompt action to prevent or mitigate fraudulent activity.
  • Provide operational and financial support for card-related functions, assisting branches with member issues, balancing and maintaining related general ledgers, and processing necessary write-offs to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Maintain the balance of the Debit Fraud GL and process necessary GL Write Offs to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Receive, verify, and post wire transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining stringent adherence to transactional protocols and security measures.
  • Handle accounting-related duties involving mortgage servicing transfers and FICS balancing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper reconciliation of loan records.
  • Perform file maintenance on Indirect and Direct loan accounts including Gravity, DLO, and loan promotions in preparation for month-end FASB 91 postings.
  • Scan and organize relevant documents into the Synergy system for accessibility and proper record-keeping.
  • Work in conjunction with the Servicing Director, outsourced accounting firm and Accounting Coordinator on accounting related spreadsheets and duties.
  • Help maintain the credit union's financial and accounting records, making sure they are accurate and follow required rules and standards.
  • Primary backup for Accounting Coordinator as required, ensuring continuity of operations, and maintaining efficiency during peak times or in the absence of team members.
Required Skills:
  • Keep the Servicing Director informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department
  • Provide friendly, professional, accurate service and support to all members, vendors, and staff
  • Create and develop procedures and forms for job related duties
Education and Experience:
  • Two-year accounting and one year credit/debit/bill pay experience or related experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
