The Molecular Neurotherapeutics Laboratory, directed by Drs. Ikezu, investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying aging and neurodegenerative disorders, with a particular focus on neuroimmunology and the pathological functions of small extracellular vesicles (EVs). The successful candidate will perform daily laboratory activities, including:
- iPSC cell culture and maintenance.
- Animal colony maintenance, histology, and cryosectioning of brain tissue.
- EV flow cytometry, fluorescence‑activated cell sorting, and proteomic, RNA sequence, and super‑resolution confocal microscopy analyses.
- Data collection and analysis using confocal microscope and IMARIS software.
- Inventory management and general laboratory support.
- Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory or research field is required.
- Basic laboratory, mathematical, and computer skills are a must.
- Experience with animal work, molecular, cell biological, and/or biochemical techniques is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, self‑motivation, and an organized approach are essential.
