Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Full‑Time MRI Technologist to join our MRI Department at our Baptist South location. This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, ensuring high quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. In addition to performing MRI exams, the MRI Technologist will prepare patients for exams and explain the procedure. The MRI Technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate, timely diagnostic information.

This is a Full‑Time, shift‑differentiate‑eligible evening position with a shift of Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.

• Perform high‑quality MRI procedures.
• Promote goodwill among co‑workers and other departments and maintain a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Take every precaution to protect self, patient, and others from potential harm related to the magnetic field.
• Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, federal regulations, or institutional policy.

• Vocational school (completion of an MRI technologist program).

• Associate’s Degree.

• American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) – required (or)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – required
• Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) – required (or)
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – required (or)
• Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) – required (or)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) – required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – required (or)
• Licensed Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – required (or)
