Join Compass One Healthcare as a Patient Dining Associate – Dietary Aide on an on‑call schedule at UF Health Jacksonville Downtown, 655 West 8th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209. Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, providing services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, delivering, and picking up their meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team, responsible for patient safety and satisfaction goals by ensuring meals are accurate, delivered on time, and at the correct temperature.

• Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with dietary requirements or restrictions.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, ethnic or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately and retrieve patient trays at assigned times.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards, HIPAA policies, and HACCP guidelines for food handling.
• Follow infection control policies, sanitation procedures and complete all required reports.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on liquid diets or specific calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
• Previous food service experience required.
