Mental Health Therapist, Behavioral Health, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Mental Health Therapist to join our Behavioral Health team. This is a full‑time, hybrid opportunity working 2 days in office and 3 days remote. The team member will be working with ages 5‑64 in our Bridge Clinic at our Baptist Downtown campus.

At Baptist Health, our Mental Health Therapists focus on the evaluation, treatment, and support of the mental and emotional well‑being of older adults often dealing with complex issues such as dementia, depression, anxiety, grief, or behavioral disturbances linked to cognitive decline or chronic illness. They conduct intakes, assign diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for patients referred for mental health services. Provide treatment that is clinically necessary and evidence‑based.

Complete authorization requests as needed and maintain up‑to‑date medical records. Maintain state professional licensure and credentialing with insurance panels. Ability to develop rapport with patients; assess and diagnose patients using DSM criteria; develop a treatment plan; document treatment progress in keeping with Joint Commission standards; efficient use of EMR.

• Conducting intake and assessment
• Assigning diagnoses and developing treatment plans for patients referred for mental health services
• Providing treatment that is clinically necessary and evidence‑based
• Completing authorization requests as needed and maintaining up‑to‑date medical records
• Maintaining state professional licensure and credentialing with insurance panels

• Developing a treatment plan

A valid Florida LCSW/LMHC/LMFT is required for this role; registered interns will not be considered

Master's Degree
Doctorate (preferred)

• 1‑2 years clinical experience

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – required
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) – required
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – required
