Part Time Position

7am-7pm

The Emergency Medical Technician performs and documents direct routine patient care under licensed provider's supervision according to hospitals guidelines.

Age of Patients Served:All Age Groups.

Required

Education:

High School Diploma or GED or Vocational Training

Required Licensure/

Certifications:

Current Florida EMT license
-OR- current Florida Paramedic license BLS from the American Heart Association

Required Experience:Less than 1 of practical clinical experience.

Preferred Experience:1 or more years previous experience in a health care environment.

• 10. Recognition of lethal EKG rhythms
• 11. Performance of electrocardiograms
• 12. IV insertion
• 13. Urinary catheter insertion
• 14. Gastric tube insertion
• 15. Phlebotomy
• 16. Basic wound care
• 17. Splinting of musculoskeletal injuries
• 18. Automatic External Defibrillator operation
• 19. Chest compressions
• 20. Eye irrigation
