Medical Technologist & Lab Technician, Clinical Research
Overview
Designs, maintains, and administers lab educational material for students, lab staff, and allied health professionals. Presents training programs and evaluates their effectiveness. Manages staff competencies to meet regulatory requirements. Performs limited laboratory testing as needed.
QualificationsRequired Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field. Alternatively, an Associate's degree in Medical Technology with 10 years of clinical lab experience may be accepted.

Necessary Skills:
Required Licensure/Certification s: Florida Technologist licensed in Microbiology, Immunohematology, Hematology, Chemistry, Serology. Must have passed one of the following National Certification Exams upon hire: MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA).
Preferred Licensure/Certification s: Supervisor's License from the State of Florida in all five areas; ASCP certification preferred.
Required Experience: Over 5 years of technologist experience in a clinical or pathology laboratory.
Preferred Experience: More than five years of experience in a clinical or pathology laboratory environment, with experience in training students.
