FT Medical Billing and A/R Collections Representative

This position is NOT a remote position and is located on site.

• Follow up on insurance claims until final disposition.
• Research and resolve denied claims, and work with other departments as necessary.
• Use Excel spreadsheets to understand credit balances and perform insurance verification.
• Assist the Business Office Director with special projects as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service answering billing questions and finding resolutions.

• High school graduate or equivalent; an associate’s degree in accounting or healthcare administration is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in accounts receivable or billing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multitask, use judgment on complex account problems, and apply critical thinking.
• May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
