FT Medical Billing and A/R Collections Representative

ResponsibilitiesThis position is NOT a remote position and is located on site.
- Follow up on insurance claims until final disposition.
- Research and resolve denied claims, and work with other departments as necessary.
- Use Excel spreadsheets to understand credit balances and perform insurance verification.
- Assist the Business Office Director with special projects as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service answering billing questions and finding resolutions.
- High school graduate or equivalent; an associate’s degree in accounting or healthcare administration is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounts receivable or billing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to multitask, use judgment on complex account problems, and apply critical thinking.
- May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
