OverviewTo provide and support pharmaceutical care including medication dispensing, preventing, identifying, and resolving drug‑related problems, promoting optimal therapeutics, and medication/pharmacotherapy education. To participate in performance improvement, academic programs, and clinical research activities of the department.
QualificationsRequired
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy – or Pharm D degree (Doctor of Pharmacy).
Preferred Education:
Post‑graduate residency training.
Necessary
Skills:
Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products; fine motor coordination and manual dexterity; computer skills and accuracy in calculations; excellent communication and customer service skills; supervision of technician employees.
Required Licensure/
Certifications:
Registered pharmacy intern with the Florida Board of Pharmacy or Registered pharmacist in Florida (must be registered pharmacist in Florida within 90 days of hire).
Required Experience:
One to two years of related experience. Supervision:
Supervisory responsibility of 3 employees. Age of Patients Served:
All age groups.
